MRA Research and Toolbank shortlisted for Construction Marketing Award
Toolbank and MRA Research have been shortlisted for a Construction Marketing Award for Best use of Research and Insight.
Toolbank is the leading independent distributor of tools, accessories and hardware to merchant, retail and e-commerce markets in the UK & Ireland. Earlier this year (2022), Toolbank commissioned construction specialist MRA Research to undertake a customer insight study, to help develop its long-term brand strategy review.
Yvette Kirk, Project Director for MRA Research, comments: “Using unique diagnostics – which are in the process of being trademarked – we were able to challenge the business’ perceptions, unveiling fundamental changes in the market and revealing the key issues for Toolbank’s customers.”
Tom Jones, Marketing Manager for Toolbank, adds: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for this award alongside MRA Research. Their study revealed a much more granular view of the marketplace which we had not seen before. This has changed our strategy and helped us make tangible differences to the way we do business.”
Just days after we debriefed Tookbank, a new strategic focus was endorsed, and trade magazine adverts that focused on key points from the report – namely the level of customers that said Toolbank had made a noticeable and positive difference to their business. The research was fundamental in gaining the business’ support for a new strategy and vision.
The CMAs are the only awards of their kind and are a national measure of excellence in construction marketing and business development, including research and strategy. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner held at the Hilton London Bankside, on 1st December – visit www.cmawards.co.uk to book or find out more.
MRA Research, known as Rigby Research before its recent rebrand, is one of the UK’s longest standing research and insight companies solely serving construction, building materials and home improvement markets.
